Sequence Number (1)


Indicates the position of the data in the packets
Every octet is sequenced
Used for re-ordering packets and finding lost packets

Consists of Initial Sequence Number (ISN) and position in the application data
ISN is randomly assigned for every TCP connection
For security reason, ISN should not be easy to be guessed
